New Straits Times Tuesday, 28/06/2011 Health division screens all food products from Taiwan THE state Health Department, through its Food Quality and Safety Division, is monitoring all entry points to ensure all Taiwanese products are free of Di (2-ethylhexyl)phthalate and di-isononyl phthalate. State Women and Family Development, Welfare and Health Committee chairman Dr Robia Kosai said the state would ban products from Taiwan if they did not pass the Food Safety Information System of Ma-laysia test, which monitors the entry of food products into the country. Dr Robia said the department would analyse all energy drinks, fruit juices, jelly, jam and yoghurt imported from Taiwan daily. She was replying to a question by Cheong Chin Liang (BN-Bukit Batu), who wanted to know about the health scare posed by Taiwanese food items.
