The Star Thursday, 28/04/2011 Women warned of sex stimulant in drink WOMEN have been told to beware of having a drink with new-found male friends. Their drinks might be spiked with sex stimulants which would make them easy targets for rape, Harian Metro reported. The paper said the stimulants, which come in powdered sachets, were said to be commonly used by men in Kuala Terengganu. The daily quoted a man named Ejoe, 25, as saying that the powder was extremely dangerous for women as they could be lulled into sex a few minutes after consuming it. "I know of a friend who gave the spiked drink to a woman he had just met. "Less than 15 minutes later, the woman invited him to have sex without being asked to," he claimed. A reporter who managed to purchase the sachet for RM15 from a Thai trader was told that he must use it only once to ensure its "effectiveness." The paper also reported that actress and singer Elly Mazlein (pic) will marry drama director Azmi Mohd Hata. The couple's relationship became serious in 2009. Elly said: "Azmi is a responsible man, and respects his elders. He is a loving man and I accepted his marriage proposal." Elly, who has acted in drama series Na-O-Mei and movies such as Tangkai Jering and Janji Diana, admitted that Azmi, 36, was married once and had a child. "That is history. What is important is our future," she added. The couple is expected to hold an engagement ceremony on May 29 at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club. |
